A SenderID enables you to brand your messages with your organisation's name or product name. Some well known SenderIDs include, JUMIA, MPESA, Safaricom, KENYA POWER.

Here are some guidelines on getting you started with SenderIDs:

KENYA

The ID should not be generic and should be in-line with your company name, services or products.

If it is a product, we need proof by sharing the trademark.

The ID has an 11 character limit. No spacing allowed but hyphens and underscores are acceptable

Cost is KES 7,500 + 16% VAT = KES 8,700 one off payment on Safaricom and Airtel

Payment can be done via Mpesa Paybill 525900 account ADMIN

We submit sender ID applications to Safaricom on Monday's and Thursday's before noon for the ID to be ready on Tuesday's and Friday's respectively, while on the other networks it takes 7 to 14 working days.

Kindly complete the draft letter, and send it to info@africastalking.com
